Our first wedding of the 2010 wedding season was Ashley and Jason’s super fun hot pink and black wedding!
Amidst a few days of clouds and rain, the sun decided to make an appearance for a stunning spring day in Vancouver. The venue, The Granville Island Hotel, was the perfect place to take it all in with its sweeping views of the city and floor to ceiling windows.
Just like Ashley and Jason, the decor was fun and fabulous. We think the carnation is one of the most underrated flowers – hot pink in a modern square black vase with a touch of bling, they looked absolutely stunning. The hot pink table runners and chair sashes pulled the look together.
In lieu of traditional favours, Ashley and Jason made a donation to the SPCA in honour of their guests. Inside the handmade black tent cards was a note explaining the donation and thanking their guests for sharing their special day. Such an amazing idea!
